2. Dilute nitric acid impregnation technology

Used inert alumina balls are cleaned with water → dried → impregnated with dilute nitric acid solution → cleaned with water → dried → calcined

Dilute nitric acid is used as an activator and a binder, as a way to unclog the pores and add specific surface area. Different dilute nitric acid concentration, impregnation time, calcination temperature and calcination heat preservation time affect the function and layout of the sample. Test results: Each sample constitutes a crystal phase: (Al2O3) (1.33) void solid solution. When the concentration of dilute nitric acid is from 8% to 14%, the specific surface area of ​​the sample decreases as the concentration of nitric acid is added; from 14% to 20%, the specific surface area of ​​the sample is added as the concentration of nitric acid is added. From 5-10min, the specific surface area of ​​the sample is added; from 10-25min, the specific surface area of ​​the sample is reduced. The specific surface area of ​​the sample decreases with the increase of the calcination temperature; it decreases with the addition of the holding time.

3. Defluorination regeneration technology

After the water treatment activated alumina ball has been used for a period of time, the surface appears yellowish-brown, and the fluoride removal effect is obviously reduced. At this time, it needs to be regenerated in time to restore the adsorption performance and use it again. Generally, it is recommended to regenerate once half a year. The specific method is to configure the aluminum sulfate solution, put the activated alumina defluoride saturated with fluorine absorption into the aluminum sulfate solution and soak for about 30 hours, finally pour out the solution, take out the activated alumina defluoride agent, and wash 3-5 times with water That’s it. The cleaning method of activated alumina fluoride removal agent in the filter is the same.

4. Uses of used inert alumina balls

Used alumina balls can be used for mirror polishing of shaped, unshaped refractory materials, refractory castable binders, wear-resistant abrasives, high-purity refractory fibers, special ceramics, electronic ceramics, layout ceramics, stainless steel, granite and other decoration materials. Special waste alumina balls can be used in the lining structure of ultra-high temperature kilns, corrosion-resistant lining structures in petrochemical industry, metallurgy and non-ferrous metals, chemical industry and other places. The regenerated alumina balls can be used as catalysts, catalyst carriers, desiccants for gases and liquids, adsorbents for gas purification, defluorinating agents for drinking water, color and odor eliminators for industrial sewage, etc.
