WHAT IS Alumina Ceramic Plates (Alumina tile)
These Alumina Ceramic plates are exceptionally weather-resistant. Temperature changes (even if they’re sudden), sunlight exposure, moisture, rain, and acid rain —nothing alters their substrate or their appearance. Alumina ceramic lining plate have color and UV resistance up to 4 or 5 in the international grey level.
Alumina plates are flexible, and this flexibility gives them high impact resistance. They’re also fireproof —for extra lifespan. You’ll never see them drip, melt or explode. The density of the material on their surface prevents the dust from gluing to it. No extensive cleaning, painting, or protective finish will be needed; not even in the cutting edges.
Alumina ceramic plates can have a thickness from 6mm to 50 mm. We operate with standard sizes, and hexagonal and square patterns on rubber or polyester mats to install on multiple surfaces to prevent them from wear and corrosion. We also have Alumina ceramic tiles that are particularly resistant to engineered wear. You can view the case of Welding the ALumina Ceramic lining plate DUCTS AND CYCLONES VERTICAL MILL INNER SURFACE
Alumina Plates Alumina tile application
Alumina ceramic plates (Alumina ceramic lining plate) can be applied to mechanical implements that need to be protected from abrasion, and systems for material delivery, pulverizing, ash or dust cleaning in thermal power production, etc. Alumina plate (Alumina tile) could also be used for iron and steel works, coal, mining, chemical, cement, harbors, smelting, and machinery.
Alumina ceramic plates has high wear resistance, high hardness, long life, easy to install, wear-resistant ceramic liner is especially suitable for thermal power plants, coal conveying, pulverizing, dust removal and other devices

Alumina Ceramic Plates advaNtages
Alumina ceramic plates absorb the impact of the material on pipe walls, extending the lifespan of the equipment. Alumina tile have a hardness of HRA 80-90 in the Rockwell scale —that’s right below a diamond, and far above the steel and stainless steel.
As for wear resistance, alumina plates (Alumina ceramic tile) are 266 times more resistant than manganese steel and 171.5 times more resistant than high chromium cast iron. We know from our customer follow-up over the last 10 years that Alumina ceramic plates are able to prolong the equipment’s lifespan by 10 times, to say the least.
Additionally, they have half the density of iron and steel, specifically 3.6-3.65g/cm3. This is important for decreasing the equipment load and, again, extend their service life.
- High hardness
- High wear-resistance
- Low density
- Corrosion resistance
- Thermostability
- Good self-lubricity

Questions and answers about Alumina plate application solutions
Welcome to inquire and purchase our 92% to 95% Alumina lining plate, which can extend the life of the material conveying pipe.
Are alumina ceramic plates cost-effective and environmentally sustainable?
Despite higher initial costs, alumina ceramic plates offer substantial cost savings over time due to their extended lifespan and reduced maintenance. They contribute to environmental sustainability by minimizing waste and energy consumption associated with frequent replacements, making them a sustainable choice in industrial settings.
What sizes and specifications are available for alumina ceramic plates?
Alumina ceramic plates come in various sizes and thicknesses, tailored to specific industrial needs. They range from thin linings for delicate equipment to thick structural components for heavy-duty applications. Different surface textures and specifications meet diverse requirements for abrasion and impact resistance.
Which industries commonly use alumina ceramic plates?
Alumina ceramic plates are widely used in mining, steel mills, power plants, chemical plants, and semiconductor manufacturing. They are essential as protective linings in equipment exposed to abrasion, impact, and corrosive substances, ensuring operational efficiency and equipment longevity.
What advantages do alumina ceramic plates offer over other materials?
Alumina ceramic plates excel in wear resistance and chemical inertness compared to metals, plastics, and other ceramics. They are preferred in harsh environments for their reliability and longevity, reducing downtime and maintenance costs in industries like mining and power generation.
What are alumina ceramic plates used for and how are they made?
Alumina ceramic plates are used in industries for their durability, hardness (typically 9 Mohs), and resistance to wear, heat, and corrosion. They serve as linings and structural components in mining, steel production, power plants, and chemical processing. These plates are made by compacting high-purity alumina powder into molds and firing them at temperatures over 1500°C to achieve dense ceramic structures.
